Shakeria Collie joined SJ &A in 1997 after leaving Monroe College where she majored in Hospitality Management. It had been her intention to migrate to the Caribbean to pursue a career in the Hotel & Tourism industry. Being of West Indian descent, she thought this was an ideal opportunity to contribute to her heritage. However, shortly after working in immigration at SJ &A, she decided that she had found her career path. She went back to school and studied Legal Studies and even attained official ABA paralegal certification from the Sobelsohn Paralegal School in NY.
While at SJ & A, she has worked in a variety of cases, such as Adjustment of Status, Consular processing, EAD, Advance Parole/ Re-entry permit, Alien Relative petitions and various visa classifications. She now exclusively works on IGA/ State Health Agency waivers, NIW/HPSA cases and H1-b visa applications. Tracy Mattingly joined SJA in February 2007. She graduated with honors from the University of Arizona in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Development. Ms. Mattingly worked many years in the social services field in Arizona and South Carolina before relocating to New York.
